We were up at Hadrian’s wall last week. It was cold, and it rained half the time, but I reckon that’s the authentic legionary-on-the-wall experience.

Sarah and I couldn’t decide whether to go to the fireworks tonight… so we didn’t, and we can’t quite see any from the house, but we certainly can hear them - there are bangs all the time, and a continuous, background rumble from all around.

Well, GNU Smalltalk is always billed as “good for scripting”. Actually, I suspect that that was a throwaway comment by whoever wrote the docs a long time ago. Still, it would be nice - very nice - to be able to use Smalltalk for scripting, so I’ve been working on it.
